Some of the things that help keep those with CF fit and well aren’t cheap. Subsequently families sometimes struggle to afford them. We know that those with CF have to cough up enough already. That’s why this small charitable group was started in 2017 to provide funds for the 70 or so families in Cornwall living with CF.
Preventative measures are the best medicine. We believe keeping fit and well shouldn’t be out of reach to anyone. So whether it’s equipment or a week’s hospital car parking charges – if you have CF or live with someone who does then we are here to help you.
Here’s our official charity statement:
Just Breathe Cornwall is a small charity constitution. The charity provide grants, goods or services to help give access to preventative every day healthcare solutions that keep those with Cystic Fibrosis fit and well.
The Trustees are Vicky Coxhead (Chair); Brian McHaines (Treasurer); Jenny Green (Secretary); Lewis Saundry (Trustee) and Louise Saundry (Trustee).
Trustees hold at least three meetings each year and have the power to:
- Raise funds, receive grants and donations.
- Apply funds to carry out the work of the charity.
- Co-operate with and support other charities with similar purposes.
- Do anything which is lawful and necessary to achieve the purpose.
The first AGM took place on 20th January 2017 – minutes are available on request.
